Purple/Pink Dip Dye Tutorial

Hey guys, so I just changed the color of the tips of my hair the other day and thought I would do a tutorial for it. This is on my extensions, but you can do it on your own hair as well. I hope I was able to make it clear enough I've never done a picture tutorial.

Things you'll need:
1. Foil to wrap the hair when colored and to help with cleanliness:]
2. Gloves to protect from staining your hands.
3. Hair dye of your choice. I used Splat Lusty Lavender.
4. Conditioner to dilute the dye if you want to. I used Suave.
5. Tint brush and mixing bowl. (Optional, you can just squirt it on and use your fingers if you'd like.)
6. A flat surface to work on! Make sure you protect it from messes if you need to!!!

-The first thing I did was bleach the tips to get out the blue. I didn't do pictures of that because at first I didn't think I was going to do this at all, but this is how it turned out.

-(if you want full strength color fill it as much as you need and skip the conditioner steps) Add a small amount of your dye into the mixing bowl.

-Then, add enough conditioner to cover the amount of hair, or enough to dilute the dye to your desired color.

-Mix the dye and continue adding conditioner until you are happy with the color.

-If you are following my steps with diluting, you should have this in your bowl. I made a little too much for the amount of hair I am convering, but hey! It's all good:D

-Next, lay the hair onto the sheet of foil and paint on the color.

-Continue covering each weft of hair until they are completely saturated with dye. Make sure you didn't miss any spots!

-Now you can fold the foil over the dyed parts and let them sit. I left mine for about an hour. You can leave yours as long as you want the color to last.

-When time is up, completely rinse the dye out with COLD water.

-Now you're done!! Just let them dry and style as usual! I went ahead and put just a tiny bit of full strength dye over the part where the blue and pink meet so it would blend better. I didn't wrap it in foil or anything I just did it really fast.

Note: If you are doing this to your own hair and not extensions, just follow the same steps, but section your hair into four parts. After you cover each section, wrap it in foil and move on to the next one.

I hope you guys liked this tutorial!!! Comment if you have any questions! :D :D
